English sterling silver candlesticks, hallmarked for Sheffield 1925. These substantial silver candlesticks are in the neoclassical style, as popularized by Robert Adam in the late 18th century. Made by the prolific silversmith company Mappin & Webb, Royal Cutlery Works, Norfolk Street, Sheffield, England.
Raised on stepped and reeded oval bases, the fluted columns leading to reeded oval shoulders and with the original bobeches.
12” (30.5cm) high, 5” (12.7cm) by 6 1/4” (15.9cm) at the oval base.
