Art Nouveau multi-colour patina bronze bust of Dalila, by the French sculptor Emmanuel Villanis, circa 1890.  Villanis (1858-1914) studied at the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti (Albertina Academy of Fine Arts) in Turin, Italy, returning to France and working in Paris by 1885.  His work was prolific at the end of the 19th century, focusing on female busts, cast by the Societe des Bronzes de Paris, as is this example.

Titled Dalila, after the Biblical story of Samson and Dalila, signed E. Villanis on the left shoulder and stamped on the base at the back with the Societe des Bronzes de Paris foundry mark.
