Bronze sculpture by Cheewa Komolmalai

Abstract bronze sculpture of a reclining woman by Cheewa Komolmalai (1948-2018).  Komolmalai is a Thai artist, working in both stone and bronze sculpture.  He was educated at the College of Fine Arts, Fine Arts Department in Bangkok, Thailand.  Komolmalai studied under the well known female artist Misiem Yipinsoi, a leading sculptor in Thailand.  

Through the 1980’s and 90’s his work was exhibited in Thailand, China, Malaysia and Australia.  The bronze is signed:  C. Komolmalai.
