Giuseppe Macri bronze sculpture titled “Concert” circa 1961/2. Brutalist figural sculpture of an 18 member choir in front of a pipe organ. Macri (1913-1991), born in Calabria Italy, showed in many galleries throughout Italy and the USA. This piece was in his first showing in Canada in 1962 at Gallery Moos, Yorkville Ave., Toronto.
Bronze on a maple base. Signed Macri 1962, and with the attached original card from Gallery Moos.
4 1/4” (10.9cm) by 15” (38.1cm) at the base, 22 1/2” (57.2cm) high.
