Bavarian Acid Etched Gold Service Plates, Germany, Mid 20th Century

Product Details

Bavarian acid etched gold service plates, ornately decorated with fairies and nymphs dancing on a forest floor.  The rim of the plate is decorated with three bands of ornamentation, the center being a parade of fairies dancing, playing instruments and riding a chariot pulled by a goat, in between two bands of scrolling.  The gilding is in excellent condition.  Bavaria, Germany, mid 20th century.
