Derby Coffee Can & Saucer, circa 1810-20

Elegant late Georgian era Derby coffee can and saucer, heavily gilded over a salmon coloured background.  The gilding is in good condition, very minor wear only, consistent with age and use.

Identified on the bottom of both pieces by the puce colour painted trademark for the Nottingham Road factory, circa 1810-20.

The coffee can is 2 1/2” (6.3cm) high, 2 1/2” (6.3cm) diameter,

the saucer is 5 1/2” (14cm) diameter.
