Edwardian Sterling Silver Cake Basket

Product Details

Edwardian sterling silver cake basket, hallmarked for Birmingham 1903.  From the silversmiths of Williams (Birmingham) Ltd, of Goodman Street, Birmingham.

The pierced and scalloped basket is raised from four elaborate bracket feet with a hinged reed and acanthus leaf handle.  Elaborately engraved in Script on the base of the basket, possibly “HIO”.

10” (25.4cm) by 9 1/4” (23.5cm), 3” (7.6cm).  7 1/2” (19cm) high to the top of the handle.
