Hammersley Golden Cornflower Tea Set

Hammersley bone china tea and coffee service, “Golden Cornflower” pattern.  Made by Hammersley & Co. in Stoke-on-Trent, England, mid 20th century.   Designed in a late Georgian manner with elaborate gilding of multiple cornflowers and fine details, such as the flower bud finials on the lids and the S scroll handles.

The set has a tea pot, coffee pot, cream jug, open sugar bowl and 6 teacups and saucers.

The teapot is 6 1/4” (15.9cm) high at the handle.

The coffee pot is 8 1/2” (21.6cm) high at the finial

The teacup is 2 3/4” (7cm) high, 3 7/8” (9.8cm) wide.

The saucer is 5 3/4” (14.6cm) diameter.
