Samuel Kirk & Son Company Repousse pattern sterling silver 5 piece tea and coffee set.  Established in Baltimore in 1815, Kirk is the oldest surviving silversmith firm in the USA.  This incredibly intricate Repousse style of ornamentation was introduced by Samuel Kirk in 1828 and has been popular ever since, often referred to as “Baltimore Silver”.

The set is comprised of a teapot, coffee pot, tip kettle on stand with burner, cream jug and covered sugar bowl.

Fully marked on all pieces in the set:  S. Kirk & Son 11OZ,

which dates the tea set to the time period of 1868-1896.

The tea set is without monograms or presentation engravings.

The teapot is 6” (15.3cm) high at the handle,

The coffee pot is 10” (25.4cm) high,

The tip kettle on stand is 12” (30.5cm) high.
