Neresheimer Hanau Silver Tea Caddy With Edinburgh Import Date 1934

Antique sterling silver tea caddy, made by B. Neresheimer & Sohne (Son), established in 1893 in Hanau, Germany.  The tea caddy bears the impressed mark BM for the import firm of Berthold Muller, whose name changed to Berthold Miller in 1915.  The tea caddy also has the UK import marks for Edinburgh 1934.

The highly decorated tea caddy depicts scenes from a wedding procession.  All four scenes are different and tell the story of the couple and their guests arriving / departing from celebrating the nuptials.

A lovely gift idea for a wedding present!
