Vintage Sterling Silver Thistle Enamelled Coffee Spoons, Birmingham 1950

Vintage sterling silver coffee spoons, with enamelled thistle ends, English hallmarks for Birmingham 1950.  Made by the silversmith firm of Henry Clifford Davis, of Birmingham, in business circa 1901-1964 and retailed by Laings of Glasgow.  The spoons are in their original presentation box, identified by the retailer, J.R. & W. Laing, established in Glasgow, Scotland in 1840.  Laings has recently celebrated their 175th anniversary; Scotland’s oldest jewellers.  The spoons are in very good condition with minor wear only to the box.

The spoons are 3 3/4” (9.5cm) long.

The box is 6 1/4” (15.9cm) by 5” (12.7cm), 1” (2.5cm) high.
