Vintage Canadian sterling silver pedestal bowl, mid-20th century.  The elegant bowl is unadorned and without monograms or presentation engravings, rising from a stepped pedestal foot.  The bowl would be a lovely wedding / anniversary gift, or a handsome trophy.

The maker is identified by the trademark of a sphinx over STERLING, used by the Canadian Silver Company of Ontario.
