Weidlich Brothers Figural Golf Trophy, circa 1920-30

Vintage silver plate figural golf trophy, made by Weidlich Brothers Company, circa 1920s.  Weidlich Brothers was based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in business circa 1901-50.

The golfer is shown mid-swing, wearing “plus fours” the fashionable golf pant popularized in North America by Edward, Prince of Wales (later Edward VIII) during a trip to the USA in 1924.

11” (28cm) high, 4 3/8” (11.2cm) diameter at the base.
