Antique glass apothecary jars with porcelain plaque / labels, white outlined with red, black and gilded.  French, 19th century.

The bottles are labelled:

1.  PULV: SACCH: ALB:

2.  PULV: SACCH: ANISI.

3.  PHENOL-PHTHALEIN:

4.  BISM: CARBON:

5.  OL: BERGAMOT

6.  FRUCT: CAPSICI.

Jars 1, 2, 4 and 6 are 7 3/4” (19.7cm) high, 3” (7.6cm) diameter.

Jar 3 is 6 3/4” (17.1cm) high, 2 1/2” (6.4cm) diameter.

Jar 5 is 5 3/4” (14.6cm) high, 2” (5.1cm) diameter.

This set of apothecary jars were used in the television series “American Gods” season 1.
