Antique German Naval Photo Frame

Product Details

Antique German figural picture frame, in the shape of an anchor with a life preserver as the central photo frame.  The frame is brass with copper and steel.  

The frame is engraved:

“Erinnerung A. M. Dienstzeit 11 - 14,” which translates loosely to “in recognition for length of service 1911-14”, perhaps for recognition from a German nautical organization or navy.

8 1/4” (21cm) high, 5” (12.7cm) wide.
