Charming Edwardian sterling silver wheelbarrow basket centrepiece.  English hallmarked for Chester 1908.  This whimsical treasure was made by George Nathan & Ridley Hayes (G.N over R.H in a shield) who had business addresses in Birmingham and London.  Made for retail by Ryrie Brothers Ltd. of Toronto, Canada.

The beautiful design features pierced scrolling foliage on the sides of the wheelbarrow, birds engraved onto both sides, applied floral borders and a functional wheel.

It is in beautiful condition; a delightful treasure for a fine dining table.  

A garden enthusiast would appreciate this intricate basket as a gift!

Note, this has a special connection to Canada as it was made for the Toronto firm of Ryrie Brothers Ltd.
