English Art Deco Sterling Silver Perpetual Calendar Dated 1929

Product Details

English Art Deco sterling silver perpetual desk calendar, hallmarked Chester 1929. From the silver firm of James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin) of Sidney Works, Matilda Street, Sheffield, England, established circa 1883.  Also marked with the patent number 9964.

The sterling silver frame has an engine turned finish, mounted on an ebonized hardwood base.  The calendar is changed manually by an accessible door on the back; some of the cards are worn; wear consistent with age and use.

5 3/4” (14.1cm) by 2” (5.1cm) at the base, 3 3/4” (9.5cm) high.
