Mid Century Modern Rosenthal Porcelain Vase

Mid Century Modern Rosenthal porcelain vase, part of the Scheherazade line, designed by Bjorn Wiinblad, circa 1960s.  The figure and flowers are set against a heavily gilded ground.  Signed near the base and as part of the trademark stamp on the bottom.

Bjorn Wiinblad (1918-2006) started designing for Rosenthal in the early 1950s, becoming Rosenthal’s chief designer in 1957.

14” (35.5cm) high, 3 1/8” (8cm) diameter at the top.
