Victorian sterling silver centrepiece bowl, organically decorated with pine boughs and cones.  Made by the silversmiths Harris & Shafer of Washington, D.C. (Edwin Harris & Charles A. Shafer) in business circa 1880-1938.  The bowl is engraved:  April 1873-1898, perhaps a 25th anniversary gift.  The pine cone border furnishes an extra Christmas seasonal appeal!
