Charming still life of a bouquet of roses, painted in oil on canvas and framed, signed H. Hansen.  Eva Harriet Hansen (1920-87) was a Danish painter who specialized in still life painting of floral arrangements, often arranged in a simple glass jar or vase, centrally placed.  Her work shows great skill in depicting both the stems of the roses through the glass and the reflection off the glass.  

The painting has a small loss of paint, in the middle of the reflective stripe on the vase.

The painting alone is 20” (50.8cm) by 16” (40.6cm).

The painting in the frame is 23” (58.4cm) by 19” (48.2cm).
