Antique French porcelain inkwell and attached stand, unmarked, mid 19th century.

The inkwell is hand painted and gilded, and in exceptionally good condition.  The colours are all bright and the painting is without wear.  All three floral panels are different, surrounded by a geometric stylized trellis border.

Attached to the inkwell are three cylinder receptacles for quill pens.

6 1/4” (15.9cm) diameter, 2 3/4” (7cm) to the top of the finial.
