Victorian silver plate soap box, made by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield, England.  The style of the trademark dates the box to the period of 1851-70.  Also marked EPBM / electro plate base metal.

The hinged lid is ornately engraved, framing a central oval suitable for a presentation engraving or monogram.  The condition of the plating is in very good.

5 1/4” (13.3cm) by 3” (7.6cm), 1 3/4” (4.5cm) high.
