WMF Silver Plate Basket, circa 1920

Antique WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwaremfabrik) silver plate centrepiece basket, made in Germany.  The basket is ornamented with festoons of floral garlands in the pierced bowl and at the base, with a gilded interior and swing handle.  Very minor wear to the gilding, consistent with age and use.  The style of WMF trademark on the pedestal base of an ostrich in a partially scored rhombus was used circa 1910-25.
