Mother Of Pearl Luncheon Set In Original Box

Victorian era Mother of Pearl and silver plated luncheon set for 12 in the original presentation box, made in England, circa 1890.  The mother of pearl handles are beautifully carved by hand with ornately engraved silver plate tines, blades and ferrules.  Presented in the original solid walnut box with an inlaid brass shield on the cover that was never engraved.

Trademarked L B + S, for Levesley Brothers of Sheffield, England, active circa 1863-1935.  The set is in excellent condition.

The forks are 6 1/4” (15.9cm) long.

The knives are 7 3/4” (19.7cm) long.

The box is 11 1/2” (29.2cm) by 9” (22.9cm), 2 1/4” (5.7cm) high.
