800 Fine Silver Box Alfredo Ridi, Florence, Italy

Product Details

Vintage 800 Fine Silver box, made in Italy.  The box is deep enough for cigarettes, wide enough for business cards, photos, or to use as a hard sided wallet.  Impressed mark 800, the grade of silver and star 236 FI in a polygon.  236 is the registered number for the silversmith Alfredo Ridi, established in 1951 in Firenze / Florence, Italy.  The polygonal shape indicates the box was made post 1968.

Monogrammed “F” in script on the interior lid.

3 3/4” (9.5cm) by 3 1/8” (8cm), 3/8” (1cm) thick.
