Antique Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Sugar Basket

Antique Georg Jensen sterling silver sugar basket, model number 235B, designed by Jensen circa 1917.  The planished bowl is supported on stamen growing from the stylized floral pedestal foot.  Both ends of the simple handle attach with hanging flower buds.

The base is trademarked with the Georg Jensen mark

the Danish three tower silver mark with 27 in the waves for 1927

925S for sterling silver

CFH, for Christian F. Heise, the Assay Master 1904-32

the model number 235B.  

The basket is also marked with English import marks for London 1927.
