Art Deco sterling silver and glass bud vase, made by Dominick & Haff of New York, New York, presented in 1925.  The substantial silver frame is styled as a torchiere from antiquity with a heavy glass insert for flowers.  The vase is identified on the bottom with the trademarks of silversmiths Dominick & Haff and the jewellers Hardy & Hayes Co. *  The silver frame is engraved at the base on the inside M.H.P. and 12-25-1925.  It was a very impressive Christmas present to lucky Mr. or Ms. P.!
