Gorham Coin Silver Christening Cup Dated 1862

Product Details

Gorham Coin Silver Christening cup, made in the early 1860s.  Gorham Manufacturing Company was located in Providence, Rhode Island.  Gorham switched their entire production from coin silver (900 Fine) to sterling silver circa 1868.

The cup is engraved with a double presentation, perhaps the granddaughter or godchild of the original recipient:
