English Sterling Silver Beaker/Vase Dated 1897

English sterling silver beaker / vase, fully hallmarked for London 1897.  Made by the silversmiths Wakely & Wheeler (James Wakely & Frank Clarke Wheeler) of Hatton Garden, London and Forde Street, Dublin.  The beaker is sturdy enough for use as a vase and the shape of the graduated pedestal foot is comfortable in the hand to use as a drinking vessel.  The beaker is without monograms or presentation engravings.

5 1/8” (13cm) high, 2 5/8” (6.7cm) diameter at the rim, 2 7/8” (7.4cm) diameter at the base.
