English Sterling Silver Box Dated 1947

Product Details

English sterling silver box with cedar lining.  Suitable for a desk or dressing table, for him or her.  Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1947.   The marks are partially rubbed, rendering the silversmith unidentifiable.

The engine turned engraving on the cover nicely frames a blank space suitable for a monogram or presentation engraving.  

The box shows minor wear, consistent with age and use.

6 3/4” (17.2cm) by 3 5/8” (9.2cm) 1 3/4” (4.5cm).  The top is slightly domed.
