The case is decorated with bright cut engraving, against a satin finish.

The original presentation engraving is intact, in script for the letters ALH.

Trademarked Gorham Mfg Co. of Providence RI, with Gorham date cypher for 1892.

The case only is 4 1/8” (10.5cm) by 2 5/8” (6.7cm).
