Vintage Sterling Silver Box, A Gift From The Prime Minister Of Malta, circa 1962

Vintage sterling silver box, a gift from the Prime Minister of Malta, English hallmarks for Birmingham 1962.

Made in England by Harman Brothers of Spencer St., Birmingham.

The beveled edge cover is crested with the Maltese Coat of Arms that was adopted upon independence from the United Kingdom in September of 1964.   

The Latin motto “Virtute et Constanti” translates into “Valour and Firmness” in English.  

The box is raised on bracket feet and has a cedar lining.

6 1/8” (15.5cm) by 3 1/2” (8.9cm), 1 3/4” (4.5cm) high.
