William Spratling Sterling Silver Pedestal Dish

William Spratling sterling silver pedestal dish, with stylized handles, made in Mexico, circa 1931-39.  Signed with his signature WS conjoined, with 925; the grade of silver (sterling silver).

An ideal size for your favourite jewel or a small vide poche.

2” (5.1cm) high, 2 3/4” (7cm) bowl diameter, 3 3/4” (9.5cm) overall diameter.

* William Spratling (1900-1967) is an American born silversmith who worked primarily in Mexico.  Spratling was an architect by training, artist, author and instructor at the School of Architecture at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana.  Pre-Colombian Mexican art and jewellery inspired his jewellery designs.
