English Sterling Silver Salt Cellars & Spoons Dated 1900/01

Victorian sterling silver salt cellars and matched spoons, hallmarked Chester 1900/01.  The salt cellars and spoons are from the silversmith William Aitken of Vyse Street, Birmingham, presented in the original box.  The salt cellar interiors and salt spoon bowls still have traces of the original gold wash.  The set is in very good condition with wear only to the box, wear consistent with age and use.

The salt cellars are 2 3/4” (7cm) by 2 1/4” (5.7cm), 3/4” (2.5cm) high.

The spoons are 2 1/4” (5.7cm) long.

The box is 7 1/4” (18.5cm) by 3 1/2” (8.9cm), 1 1/8” (2.9cm) high.
