French Art Deco silver plated figural knife rests, trademarked Yorel, made in France, late 1930s.

The firm was started by Clement Nauny and Desnet as Maison Desney at avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris in 1927, specializing in small decorative table wares in silver.  The firm closed its doors with the death of Desnet in 1933 and soon reopened under new ownership; Yorel.

The set of 12 is comprised of 2 Dachshunds, 2 pelicans, 2 cockerels and 6 geese.

3 1/8” (7.7cm) by 7/8” (2.2cm) at the base, 1 1/4” (3.2cm) high (tallest)

$450 for the set of 12.

 Condition:  Minor wear to the plating, wear consistent with age and use.
