Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Shell Butter Dishes & Knives, London 1905, Original Box

Product Details

Edwardian butter dishes and knives, English hallmarks for London 1905.  The shell shaped butter dishes and butter knives are in the original presentation box, made by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths of Regent St., London, England *.  The butter knives are the “Albany” pattern, a fashionable design of the 1880s, likely named in honour of Queen Victoria’s youngest son Prince Leopold who was created Duke of Albany in 1881.  The set is in very good condition and it is not monogrammed.  The box shows very minor wear only to the exterior.

A handsome gift for a wedding or anniversary!

The shell dishes are 4” (10.2cm) by 4 7/8” (12.5cm), 3/4” (2cm) high.

The knives are 5 1/2” (14cm)” long.

The box is 7 7/8” (20cm) by 9 5/8” (24.5cm), 2” (5.1cm) high.

$1195 for the boxed set.
