Victorian silver plate meat dome with matched well and tree platter. The dome is decorated with hand engraved flourishes and a tree branch style handle. The well and tree platter has a reservoir for hot water, accessed by a threaded plug on the side, enabling food to stay warm longer. In beautiful condition!
The silversmith firm is James Dixon & Sons, of Sheffield, England, circa 1880-1900.
The dome only is 14” (35.5cm) by 10 3/4” (27.3cm), 8 1/4” (21cm) high.
The tray only is 18 1/2” (47cm) by 12 1/4” (31.1cm), 3 1/2” (8.9cm) high.
