Antique French 950 Fine Silver serving dish and stand, made in the 18th century style, circa 1890.  The silversmith is Jean Baptiste Francois of Paris.  Both the dish and stand are fully marked on the rim, base and the handles with the Minerva punch mark with the number 1 at her forehead; the mark for 950 Fine Silver.  The silversmith trademark, JBF over the head of a wild boar, is stamped on the rim of both pieces.  The stand is elaborately monogrammed in script.

The serving dish is 8 1/2” (21.6cm) diameter, 10 5/8” (27cm) across the handles, 

2 1/2” (6.4cm) high.

The stand is 10 3/4” (27.3cm) diameter.
