Antique Sheffield silver plate double entree dish, English, 19th century.  The double oval dish has an elaborately detailed gadroon and shell border with claw feet.  The dish is impressed with a crossed sword trademark on the bottom, as yet an unknown maker. There is minor wear to the silver plating on the high points; what Sheffield plate enthusiasts refer to as “bleeding”.

8 3/4” (22.2cm) by 8 1/2” (21.6cm), 6” (15.2cm) high.
