Product Details
English silver plate covered asparagus/entree dish, made for Harrods Ltd. of London, circa 1930.
The internal drain tray over the solid tray allows the asparagus to remain firm and hot with the addition of hot water in the very bottom compartment.
The serving piece can be used with or without the internal trays. The cover can be turned upside down and used with the base as two open serving bowls. The cover has horizontal ridges that provide protection to a wood surface from heat and moisture.
The bun feet on the bottom of the dish provide this protection as well.
12 1/4” (31.1cm) by 7 1/2” (19.1cm) including the handles, 3 1/2” (8.9cm) high.
