Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Pyramid Condiment Set

Product Details

Georg Jensen sterling silver “Pyramid” condiment set, consisting of 2 open salt cellars, 2 salt spoons and 1 pepper shaker.  The Art Deco era, Egyptian pyramid influenced flatware pattern was designed by Harald Nielsen * for Georg Jensen circa 1927.  Hollowware was designed and made to match, including salt cellars and pepper shakers.  The interior of the salt cellars are enamelled in cobalt blue.

The salt cellars are 1 5/8” (4.2cm) diameter, 2 1/4” (5.7cm) across the handle.

The salt spoons are 2” (5.1cm) long.

The pepper shaker is 1 7/8” (4.8cm) high.

$1495 for the set.

 

 * Nielsen was a younger bother of Georg Jensen’s 3rd wife, joining the silver firm in 1909. Through the 1920 and 30s he was Jensen’s leading designer and closest colleague. In 1958 Nielsen became a director of the company and remained an artistic consultant until 1967.
