Porcelain Salt Cellars Dated 1934

Product Details

Hand gilded porcelain salt cellars, signed and dated G. Curtis 1934.  The pedestal shape salt cellars are unmarked blanks (attributed to Limoges, France) made for retail in North America and to be painted and / or gilded by the purchaser.  China painting was predominantly a ladies fine art / hobby pursuit of the late 19th / early 20th century in Canada and the USA.

1 1/2” (3.8cm) high, 2 1/8” (5.4cm) diameter.
