Victorian era Ryrie Brothers Mother of Pearl handled fish servers, circa 1890-1900.
The substantially weighted handles are mother of pearl, connected by a sterling silver ferrule to the ornately chased silver plate knife blade and fork tines. The set was made by Levesley Brothers of Sheffield, England for retail by Ryrie Brothers in Toronto, Canada.
The set is in the original presentation box, labelled: Ryrie Bros. Toronto, Jewellers By Appointment To His Excellency The Governor General.
The fork is 8 1/2” (21.5cm) long.
The knife is 11 1/2” (29.2cm) long.
The box is 13 1/4” (33.6cm) by 4 5/8” (11.7cm), 1 3/8” (3.5cm) high.
