Victorian sterling silver asparagus serving tray with the original pierced strainer.  Pattern # A2408.  Designed with open and floral scrolling to match the Buttercup flatware pattern, registered in 1899 by Gorham Mfg. Co. of Providence, Rhode Island.  

Both the strainer and the main dish have an elaborate engraved monogram in Script, possibly MVJ.
