Edwardian Era Silver Plate Cannon Shape Spoon Warmer

A most unusual Edwardian era silver plate cannon shape spoon warmer.  Trademarked on the base for Elkington & Co., date marked for 1906.

The cannon and base are formed in two separate pieces with the cannon resting on the pivots of the carriage.  The knob on the top of the cannon where the fuse would be twists off to access the hollow chamber, allowing the spoon warmer to be filled with hot water so the spoons can be kept warm without being wet.
