Substantial 800 Fine Silver pedestal bowl, Italian mid 20th century.

Of a simplified Rococo style, oblong in form, rising from a pedestal foot with pierced floral scrolling at the rim and base, with C scroll handles.

Stamped 800 and 1 AL (in an oval).  This is the trademark of A. Cesa S. C. of Via Trotti 10, Alessandria (Piedmont), Italy, after 1944.

24 1/2" (62.2cm) by 8 1/4" (21cm), 7 1/2" (19cm) high at the handles.
