Edwardian Mother of Pearl and silver plate fish service for 12, complete in the original box. The box has a shield shape brass cartouche suitable for engraving.
The silver plate fork tines and knife blades were made by the firm of George Bryan & Co., active at Standard Works, Great Hampton Street, Birmingham, England. The sterling silver ferrules (the ring that connects the tines/blades to the MOP handles) were made by George Butler & Co. Ltd of Trinity Works, Eyre Street, Sheffield. English hallmarks for Sheffield 1911.
The silver plate shows some wear, mostly on the knife blades.
Wear consistent with age and use.
The box is 10” (25.4cm) by 13 1/4” (33.5cm), 2 1/2” (6.3cm) high.
