Edwardian Royal Crown Derby Old Imari (pattern #1128) rectangular scalloped edge platters.

Made in England, both platters with Derby date stamps for 1903, made exclusively for Maple & Co. of London and Paris. *

They are in superb condition.

10 7/8” (27.6 cm) by 8 1/2” (21.6cm)

* Maple & Co. were primarily furniture manufacturers and retailers, circa 1870-1950 in Tottenham Court Road, London.  Select porcelain manufacturers made decorative wares for their showrooms in London, Paris and Buenos Aires.  

Maple & Co. were responsible for the furnishing of York Cottage, the first marital home of The Duke of York (1865-1936), later King George V, which is on the grounds of Sandringham House.  It was during this time that the company was appointed a Royal Warrant.
