Edwardian era three tier floor model cake stand with fitted sterling silver trays.

The cake stand frame is fruitwood with satin wood inlays, and is foldable for storage.  The four accompanying matched trays are by Mappin & Webb Ltd., hallmarked Sheffield 1911.  The pierced lip has a stylized repeating bellflower motif with an egg and dart style border, monogrammed with a “M”.

Originally given as a retirement gift from Brazilian Traction Light & Power Co. Ltd., the company that evolved into Brascan Ltd.

The wood frame is 32” (81.3cm) high, 10 1/4” (26cm) by 9 3/4” (24.8cm).

The sterling silver trays are 8 3/4” (22.2cm) diameter.
