English Art Deco sterling silver quaich cup of monumental size, suitable for a trophy, hallmarked for Birmingham 1937.  The silversmiths are Barker Brothers Silver Ltd. of Paradise St., Birmingham, England.  The cup is without engraving and is a wonderful presentation piece.

Per Wikipedia " quaich /ˈkweɪx/, archaically quaigh or quoich, is a special kind of shallow two-handled drinking cup or bowl of a type traditional in Scotland. It derives from the Scottish Gaelic cuach (Scottish Gaelic pronunciation: [kʰuəx]) meaning a cup."

The bowl is 8” (20.3cm) in diameter, 12” (30.5cm) across the handles, 3” (7.6cm) high.
